Our trades

Trades available across London

Experienced tradespeople for the jobs most homes and refurbishments need.

The right order

Trades sequenced, not stacked

Refurbishments go wrong when trades turn up in the wrong order or tread on each other's work. We plan who comes when, from first-fix carpentry and electrics, to plastering, to tiling and decorating, so each trade leaves a clean base for the next.

  • Single jobs from half a day
  • Co-ordinated multi-trade projects

FAQ

Trades FAQs

Quick answers on booking our tradespeople.

Can I book just one trade?

Yes. Many customers book a single plasterer, carpenter or tiler for a specific job. Just tell us the task and rough size.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes, within reason. We take on jobs from around half a day upwards, such as hanging doors, patching plaster or tiling a splashback.

Who supplies the materials?

We can supply all materials, or work with items you've chosen, such as tiles or wallpaper. Your quote will say which.

Is your electrical work certified?

Electrical work is carried out by a qualified electrician. In England, notifiable work such as new circuits or a consumer unit must comply with Part P of the Building Regulations and is certified on completion.

Can you plaster old lime walls?

Yes. Period homes often need lime plaster rather than gypsum so the walls can breathe. We'll recommend the right approach after seeing the walls.

How long does plaster need before painting?

New skim plaster usually needs to dry fully before painting, often a week or more depending on conditions. A mist coat of diluted emulsion is then applied first.

Can you co-ordinate several trades?

Yes. For refurbishments we schedule carpentry, electrics, plastering, tiling and decorating in sequence and manage them for you.

How do you price trade work?

Defined jobs get a fixed price. Larger or uncertain work may be priced by day rate with an estimate, agreed in advance.

Are your tradespeople insured?

Certificates are available on request for any trade you book and are sent before the job is confirmed. Checking insurance is sensible whoever works on your property.
